I like the photo....it feels more like a painting :) The colors are soft, but the picture seems a bit too faded....but then the faded look is what I think makes it seem more like a painting.
I like the two people in the background because to me they make the rolls seem larger. Also the angle of the shot (the horizon not being level) gives it a unique look...almost as if the hay will begin to roll. The people might have to start running :)
Due to the fact I live near farms the originality and impact are lower for me, but I love your technique.
Overall it is a beautiful picture, and I hope to see more.

You can find many rounded ones here in Cantabria but unfortunately only during summer. If you go south you start finding squared ones like those in your photo. Both of them are really interesting and fit perfectly in photos.

This, indeed, does look like a painting and that's one of the reasons why I love it. I like the softness and the people are unexpected and add interest. This is a beautiful shot!

Great composition.. I love the pattern your eye follows as it's guided through the shot. I wonder if it would have more impact if less grass was shown and more sky was? For instance having the people on the left be down about a third of the picture.

I like the angle of the photo, it works well with the shapes of the hay bales. The washed-out filter-looking effect is nice, too. :)
